My bass player buddy Justin invited me to come check out his band, The River Hymn, at Lucy’s tonight and I’m glad he did. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a show (I’m sad to say), but this was a great one to jump into. You’ve really got to check these guys out…

They’ve got an awesome sound that I’m really digging on, and Morgan’s voice is killer. They’re supposed to be in the studio this coming week, so hopefully they’ll have some more tracks up soon.

I’m going to make it a point to catch their next show. You should too.

I set up a video camera during the service this weekend to record our band. The camera did an okay job picking up the sound – it didn’t get the bass very well, but it’s pretty good overall. Here are a couple of my favorites.
